Michael is currently Senior Advisor at IAC. He has been the Chairman of Universal Television Group, the President and CEO of USA Entertainment, Chief Executive of Channel Four Television, and Director of BBC Television and Controller of both BBC2 and BBC1. Programmes he has commissioned include Monk, The Dead Zone, Da Ali G Show, Queer As Folk, Big Brother, Spaced, The History of Britain, Our Friends In the North and This Life. He has also been a non-executive director at EMI Group, and currently non-executive director of STV PLC.
