Finding Jesus: Faith, Fact, Forgery, Season 2

An epic six-part series for CNN deciphering the life of Jesus of Nazareth

In this second series of Finding Jesus we continue the journey begun in season one, discovering fascinating new insights into the historical Jesus. Utilizing the latest state-of-the-art scientific techniques and archaeological research, we investigate artifacts and locations which shed new light on Jesus and the key characters in his life - a First Century Jewish house that could be Jesus’ childhood home, the long lost sarcophagus of Herod the Great, the inscription on an ancient stone that proves the existence of Pontius Pilate, and holy relics believed to connect us to the lives of Saints Peter, Thomas and Lazarus.

The stories are guided by cinematic drama reconstructions and a first-class panel of on-screen expert contributors. We hear from representatives of the world’s leading universities including Harvard, Oxford and Brown, as they provide historical insight, whilst theological experts such as Father James Martin SJ, Erwin McManus and Bishop Minerva Carcaño help bring our characters and their emotional journeys to life for our audience from a faith perspective.
